For this new home build the client reached out to us to find a solution for their walkout basement and surrounding slopes. Our goal for this build was to create a high-end, natural stone landscape that complemented the property's layout while providing both function and beauty.

Step 1: Retaining Walls For Structure & Style

We began this project by constructing two large guillotined armourstone retaining walls, essential for managing the sloped terrain. These walls not only stabilized the land but also add a bold, natural aesthetic that would frame the main area of the outdoor living space.

Step 2: Jumbo Flagstone Landing

Next, we built a landing at the bottom of the front entrance stairs using jumbo flagstone; carefully selecting and placing each stone to create an eye catching, natural surface that connects with the gravel driveway. This helps keep from tracking dirt into the home while using a product that would compliment the wall work.

Step 3: Armourstone Steps For Seamless Flow

To complete the design, we installed irregular armourstone steps, ensuring a seamless transition between the different levels of the yard. These large stone steps provide both durability and a striking visual element, tying the entire landscape together with a stunning curved stairway
